About Us

Makers in Common is a collective of artisan producers driven by the land and seasons - our common ground. Since 2012, we've been repurposing forgotten historical spaces, restoring them, and bringing them back to life as restaurants, bars and gardens.

Through it all, we've remained passionate as makers - making things by hand. From hand-building the wood-fired ovens at Bread in Common to everyday cooking in all our kitchens. We are environmentally conscious, choosing responsibly sourced seafood and farming practices. And support local producers and growers where we can to reduce our carbon footprint.

Our range of jars preserves the surplus harvest from our Coogee gardens, as jams, pickles and relishes. Our Bread in Common distillery uses excess loaves in the early fermentation process of all our hand-crafted spirits.
